So Mummy says that we should update the vlog so our new followers know about us! She also said I should tell a little story about what happened the other day! Even though I don't want to Twix won't stop thumping until I do so here it goes:
Mummy buys us these things she called "hide and perch boxes" from the local humane society. We likes to hide in them and I of course LOVE to bunstruct them. I call it... making my home my own. Mummy paints.. I bunstruct! But anyways. It has a little roof perch where I can sit and watch the world go by, and I love it! The other day I had reallllly been bunstructing the inside of the house and waking Mummy and Daddy up. Daddy looks at me and says "P bun..." That's what they call me sometimes "Your going to have no house left if you don't stop!." Well I jumped up on the perch to stare at him and show him who's boss.. but well next thing I know I landed on top of Twix inside the house. Mummy just laughed at me and said "That's what you get Poptart! You chewed away the supports on the inside and the ceiling collapsed!" Well I got angry and tried to bunstruct the roof more.. so Mummy cut it off.. Now our hide and perch is neither a hide or a perch. You can see right in! Further more it helps Mum or Dad to catch Twix for his bottom baths. This I don't mind. It also means more loving from Mummy. *sigh* Maybe next time I won't bunstruct so much.. *munches on Mummys' computer cord*
Love Poptart
Note: Poptart and Twix currently are Part time house rabbits. When they are not able to be supervised they are kept in a large dog crate. We have a kitty and never take the chance to leave them alone. Not to mention SOMEBUNNY *ahem* Poptart *cough* likes to chew everything in sight!

Exciting News!
So Mummy and Daddy recently sat us down and had a good talk with us. Mummy is creating an etsy online shop dedicated to Poptart, Snickers (RIP) and I. She wants to educate people on Healthy and nutritious snacks not just for us but also our fur brother Ser Pounce and who Mummy calls her "employee". Snacks should be tasty and healthy! Who would have thunk! *thump* The greatest thing is WE ARE THE TASTE TESTERS FOR THE BINKY TREATS! Mum says she will use all organic ingredients wherever possible and try to stay locally sourced. She also said that we get the profits as our allowance!
Now normally we don't do this being nice thing, but Mummy had a talk with us about an organization that can use all the help they can so they can help other people like Mummy. We have decided once we are established we will be donating a percent of all our sales to MSAR! Manitoba Search and Rescue is an organization that trains service dogs for all types of people and where Mummy will be getting hers. They especially help all the veterans (I'm not sure what those are but Daddy says they keeps us safe!) suffering from PTSD and several other illnesses to regain their independence by provided dogs through Courageous Companions program. Check them out at www.MSAR.ca, www.facebook.com/MsarServicedogs or www.courageouscompanions.ca.
NOTE FROM MUMMY:
We also want to do our best to raise awareness for those suffering, as I do daily, with anxiety and panic disorder. Whether it be Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Panic Disorder or whatever else these are very debilitating and depressive diseases. I myself am currently in wait to receive a service dog for one such condition and hope to spread hope and awareness for those suffering from conditions similar to myself. There is ALWAYS hope and love can come from the most unexpected of places. For lots of people MSAR is one of these.

Oh noes!
Hi guys,
Today I figured I should try my hand at this... blogging thing. The female slave Twix calls "mummy" says it's not so hard. Twix is sick right now, he's not eating very much and he's hiding in the hide and perch boxes that the man slave brought home. Hint: I've done my bunstruction on it so now it's perfect. I don't mind so much that he doesn't seem to be well. "Mummy" aka female slave, rushed out and bought a bunch of nummy treats like pumpkin, lavender and chamomile. She says if he's not better we have to go see Dr. Rowett.. Great. THANKS A LOT TWIX.
Before I told female slave what I wanted to say I wish to establish a rule to my kingdom. Thou shalt now refer to me as QUEEN Poptart Baconbits. There will be manditory punishment if you do not comply. First offenders will receive thumps, second offenders bunny butts etc etc until they get the point. Female slave is setting up a page on facebook for us so feel free to give it a like. Actually, I command you to. She says there isn't much there yet but she's working on getting some pictures and such for you followers to view. Well it's bath time. Twix better oblige.
Princess Poptart Baconbits.

It's REALLY been a while!
So Mum apologizes for not posting anything recently, she says she's been going through some personal stuff. I guess that means Dad is sitting on her head while she sleeps, cause that's what it means when I have personal issues! Poptart will just haul on over and plop down ontop of me while I'm in a dead sleep. She always then procedes to sprawl out and shove her head under my chin. AS IF! I was asleep and now you're forcing me to clean you! Alright I guess...
Mum and Dad recently decided to try us on this new veggie called fennel. Of course I wouldn't touch it. Not at first anyways. Hey! Can you blame me? It was something new so I had to show my displeasure at the change in my routine. Where did the carrots go! (Even though Mum says carrots are bad for us and we don't get them everyday) Well Poptart dove right in (Do I have to teach her EVERYTHING!) and after a few days I decided I'd give it a try. Don't get me wrong it was no banana but it was good! Mum says I'm like Dad and I need to broaden my horizons and expand my palate. Whatever that means.
Mum says I should update everyone on my health status as a few of you might know I wasn't feeling well for a while. Apparently Dr. Rowett suspects that I have something called Adrenal Gland disease. Mum says that its very difficult to test for right now because there aren't a lot of "normal blood values" for rabbits out there. She says there aren't enough specialty rabbit vets to know this kind of stuff so they decided to forego the test and keep me unmedicated as it's not affecting my quality of life. I'm still the same happy, non bouncy, lazy bunny. Other than than Dr. Rowett says he can hardly believe that I'm going to be 8 years old in April. He said if he didn't know that Mum had me since I was a kit he wouldn't believe it.
Oh.. he also said I was overweight and needed to lose weight/exercise more.

It's been a while!
Mum says she's been too busy to translate us for you but now she's not so it's all good! Our bunny lives are going on like normal, except for a little while when Mum forgot to buy us carrots. We were NOT impressed. I've got a little cold, and Poptart goes for her Spay surgery on the 2nd of May. I'm secretly excited for that. Mum says she'll calm down a bit and stop humping my head!
The other day Mum had to go work at the Animal Shelter and ran into one of our cousins there. Mum says her name is Millie and she desperately needs a home! She's a very friendly and loving bun who loves cuddles! According to staff at the shelter she seems to be very friendly with other animals including bunns and guinea pigs and would make a perfect companion for another bunny! I asked mum if she could live with us but Mum just laughed and said she had enough with the two of us.
Her profile can be found here:
http://ottawahumane.ca/adoption/petharbor_small.cfm
Many people want baby buns but we suggest adopting from local places prices may seem high to some people but by the time you include our vet visits and spay and neuter the price is double what the shelter charges!
Check out the following links for our local bunny adoption places:

We would like to announce that we are also collecting pennies for charity! New moon rabbit rescue is doing a pennies for buns fundraiser and we obviously wanted to get involved. You can contact their rescue or Mum if your interested in donating!

Easter is Coming!!
As everyone knows it's that time of year again! Mum said the other day that she went into the pet store to get us some hay and she said that there was triple the amount of bunnies at the store! This obviously upset me, as I myself was brought in for this purpose. Many people every year see these cute little bunnies in the stores and bring them home as Easter presents thinking they'll make great pets for their children. What they don't realize is that the cages that are marketed at the stores are far to small for us once we grow up, that we CANNOT be fed just a pellet diet, and that we need a lot of attention and care! We cannot be left in a cage all alone all the time and ignored. We are very demanding creatures.
Rabbits must be fed a mostly green diet, supplemented with hay, and pellets and the occasional fruit. We need a large cage to stretch out with a litter box and preferably a place to hide. Wire bottom cages often hurt our feet and can cause orthopedic malformations which cause us lots of pain which often goes unrecognized as we like cats, tend to hide our pain. We need attention! We are social creatures that love to be around our owners, and we need to be carefully monitored because we get into trouble if left to our own devices! I myself love to chew on carpet, and Poptart enjoys chewing everything in sight!
I was bought as an Easter present, but Mum had had a bunny before so she knew what she was getting into. Mum thinks that Poptarts mom and dad were Easter bunnies as well. They were abandoned on the side of a road with other buns.
Every year several buns are surrendered to shelters, abandoned on roads, in parks etc because they are not wanted anymore. Children get bored of us because we get scared and are afraid of their rough handling. We cannot survive in the wild, we do not know how to scavenge or find water on our own! Many rabbits in shelters get euthanized due to the high numbers. Unfortunately rescues are often overwhelmed with rabbits and have to turn us away.
Please my family begs of you, if you are going to get a bunny this Easter, please do your research, find a rabbit savvy vet and adopt! Check out our local rescue http://www.newmoonrabbitrescue.ca/
As always please spay and neuter your bun!!

Bugger OFF!
Last night I barely got any sleep!
I was all cozied up in my corner getting ready for a good sleep to recover from the nap I took earlier, when Poptart decides to come up and mounted my head! Naturally I tried to tell her to bugger off, but SHE DIDN'T LISTEN! She kept doing it even after Mum gave her trouble. Mum said I did a pretty good job of letting her know where I stood. I don't even know what she wanted! She just kept it up for a good portion of the night. Mum eventually got Daddy to give us some Zukes bones and that quieted her up for a bit. This morning she started it again! Jeez woman! Get the hint and bug off! Mum says she'll be going to get spayed soon. Whatever that means. I just hope it stops it so I can get some sleep! Speaking of which I need a nap, Poptart is asleep in the house so I'm taking advantage of the quiet while I can.
