It's REALLY been a while!

So Mum apologizes for not posting anything recently, she says she's been going through some personal stuff. I guess that means Dad is sitting on her head while she sleeps, cause that's what it means when I have personal issues! Poptart will just haul on over and plop down ontop of me while I'm in a dead sleep. She always then procedes to sprawl out and shove her head under my chin. AS IF! I was asleep and now you're forcing me to clean you! Alright I guess...

Mum and Dad recently decided to try us on this new veggie called fennel. Of course I wouldn't touch it. Not at first anyways. Hey! Can you blame me? It was something new so I had to show my displeasure at the change in my routine. Where did the carrots go! (Even though Mum says carrots are bad for us and we don't get them everyday) Well Poptart dove right in (Do I have to teach her EVERYTHING!) and after a few days I decided I'd give it a try. Don't get me wrong it was no banana but it was good! Mum says I'm like Dad and I need to broaden my horizons and expand my palate. Whatever that means.

Mum says I should update everyone on my health status as a few of  you might know I wasn't feeling well for a while. Apparently Dr. Rowett suspects that I have something called Adrenal Gland disease. Mum says that its very difficult to test for right now because there aren't a lot of "normal blood values" for rabbits out there. She says there aren't enough specialty rabbit vets to know this kind of stuff so they decided to forego the test and keep me unmedicated as it's not affecting my quality of life. I'm still the same happy, non bouncy, lazy bunny. Other than than Dr. Rowett says he can hardly believe that I'm going to be 8 years old in April. He said if he didn't know that Mum had me since I was a kit he wouldn't believe it.

Oh.. he also said I was overweight and needed to lose weight/exercise more.

WHAT?????

Soft Bunny, Warm Bunny, Little ball of Fat.

I know I'm just a bunny but I want to take a few moments to speak about something important to my family. Mental health awareness. My mummy has a mental disease, well obviously all humans do, it's not their fault they can't achieve bunny greatness. She has general anxiety disorder, and even though it's not something you can see, it's very real. The other night she clung on to me in deep fear hyperventilating and shivering. I was very scared, not because I was picked up, but because my mummy was so scared and sick.. I knew something was very wrong so I just let her cry into my fur. I keep trying to tell her that I know she'll be great one day. I know vets are just trying to help but I just hate them, but I know she'll be a great bunny vet one day..

She tells me about all these things that people say or do, and even the teachers at school give her a very hard time. Just because someone says they have a disability and you can't see them don't judge them thinking they are just trying to get it off easy! It really hurts their feelings. (And if it makes them cry they go home and cry into their bunnies fur and then we have to spend all that time cleaning up ourselves after, not that we mind if it's for a good reason).
